Job description

Join Amaris Consulting as a Business Manager and take on a key role in the development of your Business Unit. You will grow the activity, build strong client relationships, lead your team, and take responsibility for financial and operational results.

Your responsibilities

Business development and client relations

• Identify potential clients through market research and targeted outreach.
• Arrange and lead client meetings to present Amaris Consulting’s expertise and develop new business opportunities.
• Manage existing accounts and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for further collaboration.

Recruitment and team leadership

• Attract, interview, and recruit consultants with the right expertise and experience.
• Support and mentor your team, encouraging collaboration and high standards.
• Monitor project delivery and help ensure successful outcomes.
• Maintain strong consultant engagement and satisfaction.

Financial and operational management

• Lead the strategic development of your Business Unit and deliver the annual business plan.
• Monitor financial performance and take action to improve results.
• Manage day-to-day operations and create a positive working environment for your team.
• Track key activity and performance indicators and report on progress.

Candidate profile

• Experience in business development, sales, consulting, or another client-facing role.
• A Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and international environment.
• Fluency in Chinese and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.
