ABOUT THE JOB
- Design and define the visual style, art direction, and 2D concepts for Web Games and gamification products.
- Create 2D concepts for characters, environments, items, rewards, and UI flows that align with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain visual assets including sprite sheets, backgrounds, tiles, icons, HUDs, popups, mission screens, reward redemption screens, and leaderboards.
- Create high-quality 2D animations and visual effects using tools such as Spine or DragonBones to enhance player engagement and interaction.
- Design key visuals, banners, promotional assets, and seasonal campaign materials for in-app and marketing activities.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, Marketing teams, and other stakeholders to deliver engaging and user-friendly game experiences.
- Optimize graphic assets for Web and mobile platforms, ensuring fast loading times, visual consistency, and optimal performance across devices.
- Support the integration of assets into game engines such as Cocos Creator, Phaser, or PixiJS, and validate visual quality during implementation.
- Manage asset organization, version control, and documentation following project standards and best practices.
- Prepare art guidelines, source files, and project documentation while supporting product maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Game Art, or a related field.
- From 3 years of experience as a 2D Game Artist, Game UI Designer, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and Spine 2D (or DragonBones).
- Proven experience designing 2D game assets, game UI, visual effects, and animations for mobile or Web-based games.
- Experience participating in at least one commercially released casual game, mobile game, or Web game project.
- Good understanding of visual design principles, color theory, composition, typography, and user-friendly game interfaces.
- Experience optimizing assets for Web and mobile platforms, including texture atlases, image compression, and asset performance optimization.
- Familiarity with game engines such as Cocos Creator, Phaser, PixiJS, or Unity, and experience collaborating with developers during implementation.
- Understanding of asset licensing, copyright compliance, and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of animation principles including timing, easing, squash and stretch, and interactive visual feedback design.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple deadlines.
- Portfolio showcasing game UI, 2D assets, animations, and real project experience is required.
- Experience with Blender, Maya, Unity, Unreal Engine, AI-assisted art tools, marketing creatives, or financial/gamification products is a plus.
