ABOUT THE JOB
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop game-related services including player profiles, progression systems, missions, inventory management, and leaderboards based on Microservices Architecture.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and Message Queue services with customer identity, loyalty, CRM, and data platform systems.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems capable of handling peak traffic and campaign loads.
- Design and optimize database structures, transactions, queries, caching strategies, and application performance.
- Implement caching, distributed locking, and performance enhancement solutions using Redis and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while maintaining system stability, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, write Unit Tests and Integration Tests, and promote clean code and development best practices.
- Ensure API and application security by applying authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection standards.
- Prepare technical documentation including architecture documents, API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI), operational runbooks, and support application deployment and maintenance.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- From 4 years of experience in Java backend development.
- At least 1 year of experience working with distributed systems or Microservices Architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Good understanding of Spring Framework including Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and enterprise application development.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL, including query optimization, transaction management, and concurrency handling.
- Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, distributed locking, rate limiting, or leaderboard implementations.
- Experience working with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Good understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, API security principles.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Good understanding of JVM internals, memory management, Garbage Collection, and application performance profiling.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, Loyalty, Voucher, Real-time Game Backend, Fraud Detection, Spring Cloud, Batch/Stream Processing, Node.js, or Golang is a plus.
