Job description
As a Senior Logistics Process Improvement Engineer, you’ll help improve warehouse operations, internal material flows, and logistics processes across import and export activities.
You’ll work with business stakeholders, warehouse teams, engineering departments, and component planning to identify improvement opportunities, reduce manual work, and support the introduction of automation. The role combines project management, process analysis, performance monitoring, and day-to-day collaboration with operators in an international environment.
Your missions
- Lead improvement projects related to logistics, import, export, and warehouse operations.
- Analyse internal material flows and identify opportunities to reduce handling time, manual work, and process complexity.
- Act as the project manager for logistics improvement and automation initiatives.
- Work with the business sponsor to define priorities, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Gather business requirements from warehouse teams, logistics stakeholders, and operators.
- Track warehouse performance through relevant KPIs, dashboards, and regular reporting.
- Design and maintain reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
- Coordinate the handover of business requirements to engineering and technical departments.
- Work with engineering teams to assess and implement automation opportunities.
- Contribute to the design of data lake solutions and digital agents supporting logistics activities.
- Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and identify further areas for improvement.
- Support import and export process reviews, including material flow analysis and operational follow-up.
- Coordinate with the component planning team to ensure consistency between planning and warehouse activities.
- Prepare project documentation, process descriptions, status reports, and recommendations.
- Communicate with warehouse operators and stakeholders in both English and Dutch.
Your profile
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, process improvement, or project management.
- Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience may also be considered, depending on their background.
- Experience with warehouse processes, internal material flows, import, export, or logistics planning.
- Experience leading improvement projects involving business stakeholders and technical or engineering teams.
- Strong ability to translate operational needs into clear business requirements.
- Experience with performance monitoring, KPI definition, dashboards, and reporting.
- Knowledge of process automation and experience identifying automation opportunities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience in the automotive industry, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics is welcome.
- Pharmaceutical experience isn’t required. Knowledge of GMP is a plus, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn it on the job.
- Good understanding of project management methods and stakeholder coordination.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
