ABOUT THE JOB
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex web applications and core system modules, ensuring high performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Own the technical architecture and system design for projects using the PERN stack (Node.js, Express.js, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and guide the team in following these designs
- Develop and oversee backend services using Node.js, including RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring clean architecture, best practices, and robust error handling
- Lead the development of responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using React (or Angular), defining component architecture, state management, and performance optimization
- Collaborate closely with BA/PO and stakeholders to understand business requirements, challenge assumptions when needed, and translate them into clear technical solutions and implementation plans
- Propose and evaluate technical solutions and trade-offs (performance, cost, security, complexity), and make recommendations aligned with product and business goals
- Participate in and oversee the integration of third-party services, such as payment gateways, logistics providers, marketplaces, and external APIs, ensuring reliability and security
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, support “vibe-coding”, and quickly build proofs of concept (POCs) for new features and R&D initiatives
- Contribute to and sometimes lead AI-related projects, collaborating with data/ML engineers and using Python for integrating AI services, building APIs around ML models, or orchestrating AI workflows
- Estimate and validate development efforts at project and feature level, contribute to sprint planning, and provide clear, regular progress updates and risk assessments to the team and stakeholders
- Write and enforce clean, testable, and well-documented code, and drive the adoption of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure product quality
- Lead and participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions, promoting best practices and continuous learning within the team
- Identify and drive refactoring, optimization, and technical improvement initiatives within existing systems, reducing technical debt and improving system reliability
- Collaborate with DevOps/infra teams on CI/CD pipelines, Dockerization, and cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), contributing to a robust and automated delivery process
- Mentor and coach mid-level and junior developers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow technically and professionally
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 7–10 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer, with solid experience in leading technical design and implementation for web applications
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js for backend development, including building scalable APIs and microservices with common frameworks/libraries (e.g., Express, NestJS)
- Proven ability to perform system architecture and design with the PERN stack (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Express.js …), including data modeling and integration patterns
- Practical experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably React or Angular, including component-based architecture, state management, and performance optimization
- Solid experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and strong understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows (pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies) at team scale
- Exposure to or experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and interest in improving deployment and delivery processes
- Experience with front-end and backend testing practices (Unit, Integration, and E2E testing) and integrating tests into the development workflow is a strong advantage
- Experience with or strong interest in third-party integrations (payment, logistics, external APIs) and designing robust integration architectures
- Python experience is a strong plus
- Ability to use AI tools to support coding, prototyping, and POC development, and curiosity to explore new technologies and approaches
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written) — able to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and work effectively with international teams
- You are proactive, product-minded, and eager for challenges, comfortable taking ownership, making technical decisions, and collaborating closely with BA/PO and cross-functional team members
