Job description
We are looking for a Vehicle Architecture & DMU Specialist to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation vehicle programs. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions, supporting vehicle architecture activities, and collaborating with cross-functional global teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform DMU clash and clearance analyses using CATIA V5 and ENOVIA, while tracking, reporting, and following up on identified DMU issues.
- Prepare CAD/PLM data and 2D drawings to support engineering change management, prototype build activities, and product development milestones.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve vehicle master sections in line with vehicle package targets, resolving architecture-related issues when necessary.
- Prepare concept proposal CAD data, package studies, and alternative concept evaluations, including technical comparisons and feasibility assessments.
- Perform vehicle homologation checks in accordance with UN/ECE R26, 1009/2010/EC, and other applicable regulations.
- Support vehicle architecture validation activities, including ground clearance, tire clearance, snow chain clearance, and other package-related assessments.
- Work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and validation teams to ensure vehicle architecture targets are achieved within project timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance DMU quality, engineering efficiency, and development processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle development projects with responsibilities related to vehicle architecture, DMU, or packaging.
- Expert-level proficiency in CATIA V5 and ENOVIA PLM.
- Proven experience in BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) development projects and a strong understanding of vehicle assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of vehicle packaging, architecture principles, and engineering change management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work successfully in a global team and travel internationally when required.
