Job description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to test and validate CarConfig software components, ensuring conformity and compliance with requirements. You will prepare and execute test cases across multiple environments including HIL rigs, boxcars, and real vehicles. This role combines hands-on testing with automation development to ensure software stability and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Your Missions:
- Prepare and execute test cases in different environments: HIL rigs, boxcars, and real vehicles.
- Develop automated test cases using CAPL/CANoe and integrate them into CI pipelines.
- Perform pre-merge and regression testing to ensure software stability.
- Create fault reports when issues are identified in the software.
- Support fault tracing and debugging to identify root causes and contribute to resolving issues.
- Collect and analyze logs and test data for effective root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
Your Profile:
- Experience in embedded software testing, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of Vector hardware and software tools (VN, VT, CANoe, CAPL).
- Python programming.
- Familiarity with Git and Gerrit.
- Familiarity with requirements management systems like Systemweaver/Carweaver.
- Driving license (B class).
- Experience with HIL testing environments and setups is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with CarConfig or similar vehicle configuration systems is a plus.
- Understanding of ASPICE processes and quality standards is a plus.
- English fluent. Swedish is a plus.
