Senior Embedded C++ Engineer

Join Amaris Consulting and work on innovative embedded systems in an international environment. We're looking for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality software.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C++.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and release.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams during integration and validation.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests.
  • Ensure software quality, reliability, and documentation.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong expertise in C++ and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and low-level embedded development.
  • Familiar with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, or similar.
  • Experience working with Git and modern development practices.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with RTOS.
  • BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular, or IoT products.
  • Medical device experience.
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Dutch language skills.

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.
