Job description

We are looking for a PAM Functional Analyst with strong expertise in CyberArk to support the definition, design, and implementation of Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes across the organization. You will work at the intersection of business needs, cybersecurity, and governance, translating requirements into clear functional specifications for CyberArk onboarding, access models, and policies. This role focuses on functional analysis, design, governance, and stakeholder coordination, rather than pure technical delivery.

This position is Remote, based in Canada. You must be available to work on-site 3 days per quarter (in Toronto or Montreal).

 

RESPONSABILITIES:

Functional Analysis

  • Collect and analyze privileged access requirements from business units and application teams
  • Document CyberArk onboarding needs, workflows, policies, and access models
  • Define functional specifications for PAM integrations (servers, applications, cloud services)

CyberArk Functional Design

  • Design CyberArk safes, platforms, and privileged access workflows in line with standards
  • Define account onboarding methods and lifecycle processes
  • Ensure CyberArk configurations meet security, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Validate functional alignment during enhancements, upgrades, and new features

PAM Governance & Compliance

  • Support privileged access reviews, audits, and remediation actions
  • Ensure alignment with Zero Trust principles, least privilege, and internal security controls
  • Maintain functional documentation, onboarding guides, and governance materials

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a functional bridge between business teams, cybersecurity, IAM, and delivery teams
  • Guide application owners on CyberArk onboarding best practices
  • Contribute to workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Testing & Delivery Support

  • Define functional test cases and validate CyberArk configurations during testing phases
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate deliverables before production rollout
  • Review technical implementations to ensure they meet functional requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, IAM Analyst, or Security Business Analyst
  • Strong functional experience with CyberArk PAS (EPV, PSM, CPM, PVWA)
  • Solid understanding of privileged access concepts, onboarding workflows, and PAM governance
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, authentication flows, and privileged account patterns
  • Experience working in large, structured, and regulated environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • CyberArk Defender or Sentry certification
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Functional understanding of REST APIs and PowerShell
  • Background in audit, risk management, or cybersecurity governance

 

Expected Compensation Range:
50-110K per year / 50-88 CAD per hour. The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Canadian Experience Requirement:
No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
