As Payment Platform Product Owner, you will lead an agile squad and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our enterprise payment platform and deliver value to customers and merchants.
Your missions
- Define, prioritize, and manage the platform roadmap with accountability for delivery
- Translate business strategy and regulatory requirements into platform vision, goals, and backlog
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability, innovation, and compliance
- Manage platform components such as merchant portal, onboarding, dashboards, payment pages, gateway, switch, and integrations
- Act as Product Owner for an agile squad, ensuring high-quality delivery of platform features
- Align squad priorities with business, compliance, operations, and technical needs
- Participate in agile ceremonies, backlog management, and delivery planning
- Use collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) for workflow management
- Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory standards (PCI DSS, AML, PSD2, POPIA)
- Champion platform reliability, scalability, and performance improvements
- Support business deliverables including new payment methods and merchant features
Your profile
- Experience in product management or product ownership within software development (5–8 years)
- Agile certification (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM or equivalent)
- Experience in B2B and B2C contexts
- Knowledge of payment platforms, compliance frameworks, and regulatory standards
- Proven success in owning a roadmap and delivering outcomes through agile squads
- Technical knowledge to engage with engineering on APIs, integrations, and system design
- Academic background: Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Fluent English
- Experience with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
- You have strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- You have a customer-centric, data-driven mindset and problem-solving ability
