Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the revision of complex service documentation in a highly regulated environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, or defense). The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating technical content from multiple sources into a structured documentation system while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal style guidelines.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and consolidate content from various technical documents into a unified service manual

  • Apply strong editorial and formatting skills to ensure clarity, consistency, and regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to validate and review content

  • Manage document updates through a formal change control and versioning process using internal systems

  • Support updates of related documentation such as spec sheets, labeling plans, and technical appendices

✅ Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical writing experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or defense)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and technical documentation standards

  • Working knowledge of document control systems (e.g., SAP, PLM, DMS tools)

  • Excellent command of written English with keen attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in remote teams and participating in virtual peer reviews and stakeholder coordination

🌟 Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, or other regulatory documentation frameworks

  • Experience working with global teams or offshore delivery models

  • Ability to annotate engineering images or manipulate technical illustrations
