Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

Join our team and start a new chapter in an international and dynamic environment where you will shape the future of our Istanbul operations and build a thriving IT consulting practice.

As Department Manager, you will play a key leadership role in expanding our presence in the Turkish market. You will oversee the IT business line, manage a team of managers and consultants, and act as a strategic partner to the local Director. You will contribute to the development of high-performing teams and help structure the office as it scales up.

Your missions

Business Development & Strategic Growth

  • Expand our consulting footprint within the IT industry by identifying new business opportunities.
  • Drive business acquisition through market analysis, outreach, and strategic relationship building.
  • Manage and grow relationships with strategic accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to positioning Amaris as a trusted partner within the local market.

Team & Office Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of experienced professionals in areas such as software development, QA, UX/UI, and analysis.
  • Support the creation and growth of internal centers of excellence in key technical domains.
  • Coach managers to help them reach their potential and support project delivery.
  • Foster team cohesion and support the broader organizational evolution.

Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Monitor the business unit’s performance through KPIs including margin and profitability.
  • Lead daily operations, ensuring coordination between sales, delivery, and recruitment.
  • Propose and implement performance improvement initiatives aligned with local strategy.

Your profile

  • 6–8 years of experience in consulting, IT services, or business development, including team management.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of delivering results in dynamic environments.
  • Background in a consulting firm or similar client-facing environment is highly valued.
  • Academic background: Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in Turkish and English.
  • You bring a strategic mindset, attention to operational excellence, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are motivated by impact, responsibility, and the opportunity to evolve into a Director role.
