Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Job description
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager (PM) with specialized knowledge of Werum PAS-X Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and a solid foundation in the pharmaceutical sector. The right candidate will manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of PAS-X MES projects, ensuring all regulatory and operational standards are met. This role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and MES integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and upgrade of PAS-X MES within pharmaceutical manufacturing settings.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate efforts with cross-functional teams, such as IT, automation, validation, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, resolving any issues promptly.
- Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, providing regular updates and detailed project status reports.
- Oversee change management processes, ensuring they align with business goals.
- Maintain all project documentation in compliance with industry regulations.
- Support integration of MES with ERP, LIMS, SCADA, and other automation systems.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance PAS-X MES implementation and performance of the team (team of 6).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience managing pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, specifically with Werum PAS-X MES.
- Strong background in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), with PMP certification preferred.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing workflows, MES functions, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a regulated environment.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based MES solutions and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Familiarity with SQL, XML, and Java for MES system configuration and troubleshooting.
- Certification in PAS-X MES or other related MES platforms.
- Experience with pharmaceutical automation systems (PLC/DCS).
