Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Are you a skilled Data Engineer ready for your next adventure? Amaris Consulting is on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our Data & AI Center of Excellence in Belgium. This is a great opportunity for professionals with keen analytical abilities, a strong technical background, and excellent communication skills.
🔥 Your Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to process large volumes of data from various sources.
- Build and maintain data warehousing solutions and data lakes that support analytics and reporting needs.
- Optimize data pipelines for speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data systems and ensure data quality.
- Implement monitoring tools and processes to ensure continuous pipeline operation and proactively address issues.
🎯 Your Profile:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Data Engineering and excellent problem-solving skills. Your attention to detail and ability to simplify complex information will set you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments but can also work independently when needed.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data warehousing solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and performance optimization.
- Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Databricks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and dynamic team environment.
