Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Amaris Consulting for our offices based in Lund, Sweden. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining high-quality IoT solutions. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that meet our clients' needs. 🔥 Your Responsibilities:
- Analysis, design, development, building, configuration, testing, and deployment of changes to optimize existing solutions.
- Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation to agreed time, cost, and quality within their area and level of expertise.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand and fulfill functional requirements.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure high-quality code.
- Implement best practices for performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Provide technical support to end-users when necessary.
- Efficiently manage and resolve technical issues or bugs identified in the system.
- Deliver precise technical documentation for projects.
🎯 Your Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Hands-on experience with Docker applications.
- Hands-on experience with Linux.
- Proficiency in Python and C#.
- Knowledge of serverless apps and functions.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Azure IoT Services.
- Knowledge of time series databases.
- Experience writing unit tests.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Proficiency in English is required.
