Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
We are seeking different skilled profiles to support and enhance our team in Cape Town, South Africa for the following positions:
1. Lead Credit Risk Data Analyst
Experience: 8+ years
Skills:
- Strong Credit Risk domain expertise
- Advanced SQL and SAS knowledge
- Data landscape analysis & data governance
- Experience with regulatory and risk compliance (Basel, IFRS 9, etc.)
- Strong stakeholder management & communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead data landscape analysis and preparation
- Define and standardize datamarts
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the vendor
- Identify and address data quality issues
2. Data Engineer
Experience: 5-8 years
Skills:
- Expertise in SQL, SAS, Python
- Data transformation, integration, and warehousing
- Building and maintaining data pipelines
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize datamarts for model input
- Ensure data accessibility and transformation for vendor use
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies impacting models
3. Business/Data Analyst
Experience: 4-6 years
Skills:
- Strong business process analysis
- Credit Risk and regulatory reporting understanding
- SQL and data querying skills
- Agile project documentation & stakeholder engagement
Responsibilities:
- Bridge business and technical requirements
- Define and document data dependencies
- Support vendor and model owners with data needs
4. Data Governance & Quality Specialist
Experience: 4-6 years
Skills:
- Data quality management and data governance
- Data profiling, cleansing, and validation expertise
- Knowledge of data policies, compliance, and security
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data quality standards are met
- Identify and resolve data issues impacting the model
- Implement data governance best practices
