Job description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain firmware for innovative power electronics products to join our team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded systems, firmware design, and communication protocols, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, microcontroller firmware, and RTOS.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, and coding communication protocols (ETH, CAN, SPI, UART).
- Knowledge of Keil IDE and debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings.
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French).
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement firmware for power conversion products.
- Develop low-level code for microcontrollers and optimize program efficiency.
- Debug and maintain legacy products while ensuring software robustness.
- Create test cases for verification and validation, documenting processes thoroughly.
- Collaborate with hardware and power electronics engineers for seamless product integration.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years in embedded software design within power electronics.
Proficiency in embedded coding, firmware debugging, and communication protocols.
