As a BI Engineer at Amaris Consulting, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing business intelligence (BI) solutions to empower decision-making across various client projects. You’ll work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure the flow and quality of data across systems.
- Build and manage data warehouses to support reporting and BI initiatives.
- Develop dynamic and insightful dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Perform data modeling to optimize data structures for reporting and analytics.
- Conduct data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights provided.
- Utilize SQL and other query languages to extract, transform, and manipulate data efficiently.
- Participate in the migration of legacy reporting systems to modern BI tools when applicable.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users to maximize adoption and effectiveness of BI solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, ETL processes, and reporting structures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- π Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- πΌ 1+ years of experience in a BI Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role.
- π οΈ Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- π§ Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data across different databases.
- βοΈ Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline management.
- π Knowledge of Python.
- βοΈ Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in French and English or Dutch and English is required.
