Mission Description
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the AS400 platform to support business operations.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Design, code, test, and debug programs using RPG, CL, and other relevant languages on the AS400 system.
- Perform system analysis and design for new applications and modifications to existing applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AS400 applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Document program specifications, technical designs, and user manuals to ensure comprehensive understanding and future maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in AS400 technology and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
Profile Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in programming and development on the AS400 platform.
- Proficiency in RPG, CL, and other relevant programming languages used on AS400.
- Strong understanding of AS400 system architecture, database management, and application development.
- Experience with system analysis, design, and implementation of AS400 applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AS400 applications.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory); additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with technological advancements.
