We at Amaris are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for the Automotive Industry. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our cloud-based infrastructure specifically within automotive software and connected vehicle solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll manage and optimize our cloud environments and DevOps processes, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency for automotive-grade applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cloud migration and edge computing projects primarily within AWS, with Azure as a secondary focus, emphasizing automotive applications such as real-time vehicle data processing, remote diagnostics, and OTA (over-the-air) updates.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Helm to streamline Infrastructure as Code processes. Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 for functional safety and ASPICE for software quality.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters tailored for automotive applications, supporting services such as telematics, connected vehicle data streaming, and microservices architectures.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD, focusing on delivering automotive software updates, supporting OTA capabilities, and managing embedded software releases for infotainment and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Vault to ensure high availability, monitoring, and security of our automotive infrastructure. Ensure that monitoring solutions support automotive requirements for real-time data and diagnostics.
- Support our data teams by integrating automotive data tools such as Databricks and Snowflake, with a focus on connected vehicle data and event streaming. Familiarity with MQTT for telematics, Kafka, and Spark for large-scale data processing in the automotive context is highly valued.
- Ensure systems adhere to security and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, ISO 26262) and DevSecOps best practices, with a focus on securing connected vehicle data and ensuring compliance with industry standards for safety and quality.
- Work closely with automotive software developers, embedded systems engineers, and architects to ensure seamless integration, reliable delivery, and security of services tailored for the automotive industry.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with AWS, ideally within an automotive or similarly regulated industry. Added experience in Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and Go for scripting and automation, with automotive use cases in mind.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, and Vault in an automotive context.
- Demonstrated ability to create and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows supporting automotive software delivery, such as OTA updates and vehicle software compliance.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, including DevSecOps principles, cloud security configurations, and compliance with automotive security standards.
- Familiarity with data tools and environments such as Databricks, Snowflake, Data Lake architectures, and large-scale processing tools specific to connected vehicle data and telematics.
- Fluency in English is essential; Swedish is a plus.
