We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our dynamic team and implement high-performance, scalable databases to meet our business and solution needs.
🔥Responsibilities :
- Act as an Engineer to implement high-performance scalable databases that can fulfill business/solution needs, based on recommendations from the Product Owner.
- Drive end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and MongoDB using native and third-party tools.
- Drive the migration of databases to containerization (either to OpenShift or Azure Kubernetes Services).
- Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting are set up and integrated with monitoring tools according to standards and business requirements.
- Act as an expert to identify query-language optimizations to deliver the best possible performance.
- Collaborate with Hybrid Cloud colleagues working on Core Infrastructure.
- Act as a coach to support colleagues in their technical knowledge.
- Practice sustainable response and support in incident and request management.
🎯 Your Profile :
- You have a university degree in a technical field along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in administering mainly on-premises based multiuser environments with expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems.
- You have 5+ years’ experience in running production MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Your experience is extensie with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- You have strong experience in Linux Administration (containerization would be highly appreciated), and are a strong team player able to share knowledge and be autonomous when needed.
