Job description

 

Mission Description: 

  • Proactively monitor, manage, and improve the availability and performance of production environments, covering presentation, application, and infrastructure layers.
  • Manage the capacity of production applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle Incident and Problem Management by conducting analysis of major and critical incidents.
  • Identify and implement tactical or strategic improvements to reduce the number of ongoing incidents.
  • Manage Change Management processes to ensure all changes to the production environment are planned and executed in a controlled manner.
  • Ensure the quality of changes within the production environments, ensuring that changes raised are of sufficient standard in terms of technical and planning detail.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Request training to improve knowledge when needed.
  • Apply own initiative within acceptable risk levels and escalate when in doubt.
  • Follow user service guidelines if the position is user-facing.
  • Escalate risks/issues to the team manager.
  • Minimize operational failure by implementing regular controls and ensuring appropriate escalation to management.
  • Contribute directly to the operational permanent control framework.

Profile Requirement: 

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in production support or a related role.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Web SSO solutions.
  • Show experience with SOA security
  • Have experience with autoprovisioning tools such as BMC ControlSA, Sailpoint, or Forgerock.
  • Understand LDAP, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, PKI, GSS-API, and SPNEGO.
  • Be familiar with oAuth2 and OpenIDConnect.
  • Know security models for web applications.
  • Understand infrastructure standards for network load balancers, servers, networks, and storage.
  • Have an automation mindset with experience in using tools like Ansible.
  • Possess scripting skills using Python/JS or shell.
  • Have experience in configuring and supporting web technologies such as Tomcat, Apache, nginx, IIS.
  • Exhibit proven logical and methodical problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with an industry-recognized service desk and project management toolset.
  • Be a clear communicator in both written and oral forms.
