We are currently seeking an entry-level Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amaris Consulting, located in Belgium for a VIE. This role is a unique opportunity for those passionate about AI and machine learning, looking to apply their skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment. 

 

πŸ”₯Your Responsibilities: 

  • Developing machine learning models from scratch and improving existing ones 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide appropriate solutions. 
  • Data preprocessing including data cleaning, normalization, and transformation. 
  • Evaluating model performance using suitable metrics and validation techniques 
  • Maintaining clear documentation of the development process for future reference and audits 
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in machine learning algorithms, tools, industry best practices 
  • Promoting knowledge sharing within the team through presentations or workshops on new findings or technologies related to ML/AI 
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the development or deployment of ML models 

 

🎯 Your Profile: 

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate who has a strong passion for artificial intelligence (AI) & machine learning (ML). You should be eager to learn new things continuously while being able to work effectively as part of a diverse team. 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/mathematics or related field is required; a masters degree is mandatory for a VIE
  • Familiarity with Python programming language along with libraries such as TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch used in ML applications. An understanding of various Machine Learning algorithms like Regression Models, Decision Trees etc., along with their real-world advantages/drawbacks. 
  • Good understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture 
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues 
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders 
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French or Dutch.  
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience.
