Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Automotive Buyer to join our team in Morocco. As an integral part of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of materials, supplies, and services within the automotive sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities, including negotiating with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms for required products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and high-quality materials.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and develop procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Analyze market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Handle urgent requests efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet changing business needs.

Profile Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related disciplines within the automotive sector.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms from suppliers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and take ownership of procurement initiatives.
  • Comfort in interfacing with all levels of management and ability to provide clear and concise reporting.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to adapt to urgent requests and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aftermarket/program/material purchasing and sourcing strategies.
  • Familiarity with quality and logistics performance management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in supply chain situations.
