Job description

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Back Office Business Analyst / Project Manager to join our team, focusing on utility or commodity trading operations and leveraging your knowledge of energy markets.

 

🔥Reponsibilities:

  • Act as the liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination for back-office operations in a utility or commodity trading environment.
  • Analyze and understand confirmation, invoicing, clearing, and settlement processes, as well as the complete trade lifecycle and associated risk control mechanisms.
  • Gather business requirements through workshops, interviews, and analysis, then translate them into user stories, features, and epics for development teams.
  • Manage projects using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and providing support throughout the development cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct testing and validation of systems to ensure functionality and efficiency, providing support where necessary to resolve issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation of processes, systems, and project outcomes.

 

🎯 Your Profile:

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in a utility or commodity trading environment, with a solid understanding of energy markets (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of back-office processes including confirmation, invoicing, clearing, and settlement.
  • Understanding of front-to-back system flows, trade lifecycles, and risk control processes.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, requirements engineering, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in DevOps and Agile frameworks, including running workshops, creating user stories/features/epics, sprint planning, and providing ongoing support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher) is mandatory.
