Mission Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Characterization Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Technical Specifications & Subcontractor Management: Writing technical specifications and managing subcontractors for the provision of measurement systems and radiological campaigns.
  • Radiological Characterizations: Conducting radiological characterizations as needed, ensuring compliance with the expected level of expertise required by authorities.
  • Calculation Codes: Developing and applying strong skills in calculation codes such as MNCP and MicroShield.
  • Expertise Sharing: Leveraging a high level of expertise in radiological characterization on both national and international levels.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Collaborating with clients and colleagues to align work efforts, sharing knowledge and experiences.
  • Meeting Participation: Actively participating in regular meetings with colleagues to discuss workload plans, technical issues, project tracking, strategy development, and coordination of cross-functional activities.
  • Task Management & Subcontracting: Establishing tasks and deliverables that may be subcontracted to obtain a radiological characterization method approved by ONDRAF, specifically for the "BULK SSCs" radioactive waste streams within the project's scope.

Profile Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or Sciences, preferably with a focus on Physics.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in nuclear measurements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in nuclear measurement techniques.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with MNCP and MicroShield.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French or Dutch, with strong written and oral communication skills in English.
