Nhà của VUI is a young non-profit organisation whose aim is to provide a better quality of life for people with disabilities in Ho Chi Minh City. Most of them sell handmade products or pieces of art and are subject to unsafe living conditions: 50% of them are considered ‘poor’. The charity’s objective is therefore to improve the profitability of the products they sell and their marketing outreach. To achieve their objectives, VUI House (Nhà của VUI, which means ´the happiness house ´) has built a network of experts to coach the artists. Through this innovative project, the charity has been able to help these people improve their income and living standards, granting them their fundamental right to independence. In addition, the non-profit plans to launch a global video awareness campaign to raise public awareness of the living and working conditions of people with disabilities.
Thanks to the Amaris Foundation’s support, VUI House aims to help 212% more people with disabilities in the next 18 months, with the end goal to have helped a total of 563 people by September 2019. Amaris Group employees have also supported VUI House by offering their time and expertise to help develop the project.
Find out about their activities, as explained by TONG Trong Nhan, the Founder and Director of VUI House. Nhan is also an Amaris employee based in Vietnam!
