What is Amaris Foundation?
Founded in 2015, Amaris Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation.
Our funding comes from various sources: first our employees, as indirect contributors, then the Amaris subdivisions and external donors, as direct contributors.

Why was the Amaris Foundation created?

Developing our Foundation is a natural extension of our Group vision."

Make a difference programme: As a successful introduction to our CSR policy, we created the Make a Difference Programme. The essence of this programme is to offer employees an alternative way to celebrate their birthday through generosity, by turning what was previously a birthday gift from the Group into a Foundation donation. This programme marks the starting point of the Foundation.
Who is involved in the Amaris Foundation?
The Foundation Committee is responsible for the direction of the Foundation, the final selection of the projects as well as promoting the Amaris Foundation across different media channels.
The Foundation Committee delegates day-to-day management tasks to the Foundation Team.
How does the Amaris Foundation work?
We are a collaborative foundation, which means that our funds come from our employees and our subsidiaries. Our members are Amaris employees who have decided to get involved in the foundation at no cost.

How does the committee choose which projects to support?
We must ensure that the project or the non-profit organisation respects the following essential criteria:
Thereafter, the projects that respect all these rules are carefully reviewed by our Foundation Team before being proposed either to our Foundation Committee (for long-term projects), or to our members and donors once a year.
Can you sponsor me to cycle around the world / climb a mountain / create an ecological farm in Africa?
If your project is neither related to nor led by a non-profit organisation, we unfortunately cannot help. We are a grant-making charity and therefore we fund only non-profit organisations to promote innovative solutions to foster independence.
Submitting a project
When can I submit a project to the Amaris Foundation?
The Amaris Foundation organises an annual Call for Projects and communicates the timeframe for submitting a project in advance. In 2018, the Call for Projects will run from 11th – 29th June.
Why should I submit a project to the Amaris Foundation?
Every year, the Amaris Foundation organises a Call for Projects during which any of its members can submit a project from a non-profit organisation that they would like to see benefit from the support of the Amaris Foundation. This process enables the Amaris Foundation’s members to decide which non-profit’s projects will receive a grant. The Amaris Foundation donates a total amount of 50,000 euros to selected projects each year. In addition to this financial support, the Amaris Foundation builds long-term partnerships with the non-profit organisations, offering a large of range support such as: material donations, project co-creations, skill patronage…
Submitting a project to the Amaris Foundation gives a non-profit organisation the opportunity to receive long-term, personalised and innovative support. It’s easy, doesn’t take up much of your time and can have a big impact on helping change the world!
What are the rules for submitting a project?
Any Amaris Foundation member can submit a project.
In order to become an Amaris Foundation member, there are two options:

I am not too familiar with the non-profit organisation whose project I would like to submit, I am not a member of theirs or a volunteer - does this matter?
It´s not mandatory to be a member or a volunteer of the non-profit organisation whose project you want to submit, but the greater your knowledge of them, the better. It´s easy to get in touch with them through their website, for example. You need to make sure that it respects the Project Submission Guidelines. Once your project Has been submitted, the Amaris Foundation team will work directly with the non-profit organisation on their application.

Only our members and donors, 1 member / donor = 1 vote.
Grant attribution and project follow-up
I voted and my non-profit organisation has been selected to receive funding. What’s next?
We aim to develop sustainable and long-term partnerships. So, the foundation team will follow up on the project's progress and regularly inform you about it on our networks via articles, reports, interviews etc....
My organisation has not been selected to receive funding! Why?
It probably did not comply with the foundation policies and guidelines. Any doubts, questions or comments, please get in touch with the foundation team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
